Should I set my love story in December or February?

If I choose December then one of the main characters will walk around feeling humiliated and heart broken after a heated argument in the cold snow crying her eyes out (got any more ideas?)

If I choose February then one of the main characters will be heartbroken when her crush has a girlfriend. (typical i know xD again, any more ideas?)
