Simple question about a Judaism belief?

In the Jewish religion, is there some sort of connection to someone far far back that makes everyone related? If yes, is the belief that all Jews are related or all people on the planet are related?

Also in other religions, what's the beliefs with relations to each other?
 
Yes -- in Jewish mythological theory, all Jews are descended from the ancient patriarch, Abraham. Actually, they most directly trace their lineage back to Jacob, who was Abraham's grand son. Jacob had 12 sons, who became the founders of the legendary original tribes of Israel.

Jews also trace their lineage via the mothers -- because it's pretty much guaranteed that you are genetically related to your mom...the guy who says he's your dad, that's less reliable.
 
I will answer this as best I can.

Yes. Traditional Jews believe that all humans are descended from Adam and Eve. Jews believe that all are descendants of Abraham (prophet). Jacob, the son of Issac and the grandson of Abraham had 12 sons, and those are considered to be the 12 tribes of Israel. The Messiah will come from the line of King David.

There was a big issue in Israel in the 80's-90's regarding Ethiopian Jews, whether they were Jews or not (descendants of Soloman). Today, they are accepted. Its really quite a mystery how they're Jewish, they are in a way proof that Bathsheba existed.

Judaism is passed through the mother by the way, so if your mother is Jewish, you're Jewish.
 
All people are related of course, or are claimed to have equi-mutual originative beginnings. Although specific religious beliefs may be very interwoven with cultural traditions, no real religion has a world view anymore that reserves terms of remembrance exclusive of the cultures phenotypical racial identifications. That isolationist ordure is a hand warmer any time of year.
 
Adam and Eve and Noah and his wife. For Jewish decent, Abraham and Sarah.

Non-Abrahamic beliefs have a variety of first humans.
