What are the seven gifts of the holy spirit? In what book of the bible are they told, and in what old testament book are they rererred to?
 
Actually, there are 9- Gifts of the Holy Spirit dear.

These are power gifts.

God has given to all His children gifts to edify ( build ) His Church. He gives His gifts liberally, but we do not choose our gift ( 1 Corinthians 12; 11 ). " All these are the work of One and the Same Spirit, and He gives them to each one, just as He determines ".

You may find them in the Book of 1 Corinthians 12: 8-10.:

1. ) Words of Wisdom, which is a supernatural perspective to ascertain the divine means for accomplishing God's Will in a given situation. Wisdom works interactively with knowledge and discernment.

2.) Words of Knowledge, which is a supernatural insight or understanding of circumstances of a body of revelation; that is, without assistance of any human resource, but solely by Divine aid.

3.) Faith, which is the supernatural ability to believe God without doubt; the ability to meet adverse circumstance with trust in God's messages and words.

4.) Gifts of healing, which is a supernatural healing without aid. This does not discount human instrumentation and medical means of treatment.

5.) Working of Miracles, which is a display of power giving the ability to go beyond the natural.

6.) Prophecy, which is a supernatural proclamation in a known language.

7.) Discerning of Spirits, which is having the power of spiritual insight-supernatural revelation of plans and purposes of the enemy and his forces.

8.) Different Kinds of Tongues, which is the supernatural utterance in languages not known to the speaker thee languages may be existent in the world or unknown in the sense that they are a means of communication inspired by the Holy Spirit.

9.) fInterpretation of Tongues, which i the supernatural power o reveal the meaning of tongues. It does not serve as a translation, but rather is a declaration of meaning.

There are also other Gifts given:
Gifts of the Father, you may find them in the Book of Romans 12: 3-8
and
Gifts of the Son, you may find them in the Book of Ephesians 4: 11.
