Something called Bonjour for iTunes?

My friend said that when she got iTunes some thing came up called bonjour in her computer so she tried to delete it but then when she went back to iTunes it said that it need the program called "bonjour" and i was thinking that maybe that iTunes is a fake. Anyone else have it?
 
It's a normal part of iTunes. You can block it with a firewall or something but that will disable a few features that you probably don't want to use anyway eg connecting to remote speakers. According to Wikipedia, it's purpose is to detect other devices on your network.
