Sony Blue ray player not working?

I bought a sony blue ray player (Model BDP-S380). I have a Sony bravia LCD tv (KLV 32-S200a). I tried to connect the player through HDMI cable but it seems like it is not getting recognised. I went to HDMI input section in TV and I don't get the signal. But if I connect it in the the normal AV mode (using yellow cable for video) I get signal. Any idea on what should I do???

You need to rerun the setup on the Blu-ray player and tell it you are using HDMI.

The HDMI cable could be faulty, or the ports on the TV or Blu-Ray player. Hopefully it is only the cable.
