Sprint Mogul Evdo Rev A questions?

1. Are rev a and evdo the same thing, if not whats the difference.

2. If rev a is seperate from evdo is it availible in nyc, cuz on my phone it says EV. I have the latest version of the mogul (windows 6.1) so should it auto update to rev a or do how do i config it to do so ?
