Starting to run... what can I do on vacation so that I don't hinder my progress?

I'm starting to run and the way I'm doing it is running in intervals of 1 minute running to 1 minute walking, then gradually building to 2 minutes walking to 1 minute walking, then 3/1 and so on.

I'm currently at 5/1, which I'm very proud of. But I don't know if I'm going to be able to do my regimen when I go on vacation for a week. I'm going to try, but since I don't own a stopwatch and don't plan on buying one soon because I'm poor, I'm not sure how well it will go.

So if I don't do my regimen during that week, will all my progress be lost? Will I still be able to run at 5/1 minute intervals?

If so, what can I do to to keep my progress? Like I said, I'm going to try to stick to my regimen, but I figured it'd be smart to hear some other options too just in case.
Ha I realize the hypocricy. Sorry. My parents are paying for the vacation. forgot to mention that.
I'm going to FL, and I'll be right on the beach, so I can always run on that.

How can you not afford a stopwatch and be able to go on vacation.
Just try to run as much as you can, and even if you dont run at all once you get back you should still be able to run at the same intervals.

It's just a week

Uh, I don't really like your intervals since it includes walking. Walking during runs is bad physically and mentally. First, you keep changing you heart rate from higher to lower and higher to lower. It is bad mentally because once you feel the ease of walking, you will keep wanting that easy pace.
I would suggest you do different kinds of intervals. Maybe you could do 5 minutes of quicker running and then 1 minutes of very slow jogging. Whatever you do, try to walk as little as possible. I can run for about 45 minutes, but that includes stop signs and stop lights. Other that those stops, I never walk.
But if you are convinced on your regimen, you should determine where to run and where to "walk" on certain streets. Such as run until you get to John Street and walk on Smith street for half a block or something like that.
But please try not to walk no matter what. I know it sounds a little mean, but trust me it does so much more for your health.
