Sweet or weird idea for a story?

This is actually for a story I'm writing...a girl chats with this dude every night online for over a year, keeps (without his knowledge) a record of every chat the two of them have ever had...kills herself...but before doing so, makes a scrapbook type thing containing every chat log (hundreds at this point) and sends it to him in the mail...

Sweet or weird? In my story it's supposed to be sweet and not sound like the girl is in any way stalking the man. The character of the man is touched by it... I want the reader to feel that way as well.

What's the exposition? It doesn't (to me anyway) sound sweet or endearing at all... Just creepy... In this dude's shoes, this would be a story I told nobody, I would be too busy looking over my shoulder for a crazy...
