Teenage diet and fitness? Please be detailed. Easy 10 points! :)?

Hey guys :) So... I'm a 16 year old girl and I'm being forced to take strength training next year my senior year of high school! :/ There was no room in my schedule and I needed another P.E. credit to graduate. I am one of the most non-athletic people you will ever meet, honestly. I don't do any sports... I love dance, never really been any good at it, but I enjoy dance. I took cheer for a few years too. Anyways, I'm really nervous about next year... this isn't just normal P.E. It's an advanced class, lifting weights, possibly running and all that... Do you have any recommendations for a beginner to start getting fit and in shape? I'm maybe... 5'11" and 160 lbs? I'm not completely sure.. my chest is bigger too so that can be a part of it. I'm not "fat" but I'm not skinny either... I just want to look good for summer and prepare for that awful class I have to take next year! I hope to lose some weight.. any ideas for easy exercise routines or anything I can do to burn off the extra pounds? Another part of the problem is that my parents are divorced and my dad can't really cook so we eat out alot... definitely a lot of fast food and I hate it :/ I can't really cook though, so I need some simple meals that I could cook. Any suggestions? What are your favorite healthy products to buy at the grocery store? :)
