mono. Why? I'm using an old (about 8 years) Aiwa stereo system as speakers for my TV, connected to the video/aux RCA on my stereo.
I've noticed that if I'm connecting only a single connection (red or white cable), then the sound coming out of (a single) speaker is pretty good, but the moment I connect both cables (red and white), then the volume suddenly drops, and I have to increase the volume so much that the quality of the sound is really degraded.
I've tried replacing the cable, but no luck. It would be a waste to invest a lot of money to have it repaired by a professional, as it doesn't worth much, and I'm pretty comfortable with tinkering with the electronics to fix the issue my self.
Is there anything I could do to solve (or even just improve) the issue?
