There is a loud whirling sound during the spin cycle of my LG washing machine.?

Could it be a loose belt of some kind? It doesn't seem off balance, and there is no excess water in the drum or on the outside of it either, but I have recently noticed that there is water in the laundry soap dispenser after it has finished a full cycle. It is a stack able washer/dryer, with the dryer situated on top of the washer. I purchased them as a set approximately 6 years ago.
