there is a screeching sound in my front right speaker in my RDX home theater?

in my front right speaker to my RDX home theater there is a horrible screeching noise on a high frequency pattern. I checked the wires, i cut them and put them in again and the sound came abit better but not to the full appreciation of my liking. so is there a problem inside the speaker itself i should know about that is causing the problem? if you have any ideas on what it could be please comment! ha ha Thank you.
