Things that make you go GRRRRR.... (Part 2)

Sorry about that Haru! Muscle spasms SUCK, I only had one once but it royally sucked. I took off at a run across the supermarket car park and my adductor seized, hurt like hell and I couldn't walk for a while. It must suck like hell to have to deal with that on a regular basis.
 
More stupid health crap. I was woken up by my cat at 4.30am, decided to use the bathroom, and had a horrendous attack of vertigo. I couldn't see properly or walk without flailing around and falling, the room looked to be whirling around me at Mach 2. I don't know if it was an inner ear issue because it persisted after I'd gone back to bed and was lying perfectly still. Vlech.

I hope this isn't the start of a serious issue. I've already been having a mild thing that I call "inertial vertigo" (sorry, I don't know if there is a medical word for it) which is where when I move my head too sharply in any direction, my inner ear seems to think it's still moving, and the room looks like it's moving in that direction...annoying but not serious. Then this crap happens. I should get seen to, but our doctor is in another town, and I refuse to ask my mom for a lift over there. She would freak out and worry and she already has enough to worry about with my severely autistic younger brother...these are the occasions when I can't wait to push off and be self sufficient. It would be nobody's problem but mine.
 
Update: I think I know what caused it. I'm taking fluticasone propionate for my hayfever...guess what side effects it has? So kind of them to tell me about that on the package..NOT..
 
Grrrrrrr. Stupid Anti-Foodie. She's driving me up the freaking wall. Her partner came out to sample with us today, and offered to help (he's quite tall, so can reach the higher branches). We had loads to do, so I said to her to let him help with the tall trees. Every time I looked over at them, he was asking to help and she was walking away and just beating the lower branches, so I went over and gently told her to let him help. Yet again she ignored me, so I went back over and told her that we were on a bit of a tight schedule and if she wasn't going to let him help her, he could come and help me. I though she might burst into tears and she then proceeded to sulk for the next few hours! Jeez, I mean there are times to be all independant and do stuff for yourself and there are times to accept that others might be able to do stuff you can't. Silly so and so. She also refused to drink anything all day. I got through 2 bottles of water and one bottle of juice and downed another bottle as soon as we got home (followed by several cups of tea). It was definitely affecting her work towards the end of the day. She kept suggesting we give up and go home (by this point I was in stubborn mode and refused till we had finished all we had to do). It's not my problem if she refuses to eat and drink all day and feels crap at the end of a long, hot day's sampling. She really is a total child about some things.

I now have to spend the weekend travelling with her and share a hotel room. I am soooooo not looking forward to meal times. It's getting really difficult not to snap at her and tell her to grow up!
 
Sorry to hear about her Frodo...she sounds grossly emotionally iofftopicture.

Says the girl who went to judo even though she was having vertigo attacks, and almost fell through the fire exit doors...lol...yes, I did this...yup, emotionally iofftopicture XD I feel like such a weakling. Stupid fluticasone.
 
She is a total child! There is a small (very small - which considering it's me, is practially microscopic) part of me that feels sorry for her. She obviously has major issues, but it's not my job to be her counsellor. I suck at counselling. My normal advice is 'life sucks, deal with it and move on!', which I'm sure would lead to tears! I mean we went up north on Saturday to sample and I sat by the window on the train, so I asked her on the way back if she wanted a window seat, because I'd had it on the trip out. She said 'I don't know, what do you want'. She won't even decide something that simple! Grrrrrrr She actually asked if we'd be buying for at the supermarket and preparing it in the hotel this weekend. Not blinking likely. If I'm travelling on expenses, I'm paying someone else to prepare me nice food! She also went pale at the idea of an All You Can Eat breakfast buffet at the hotel! She is totally nuts!

(N.B. Every time I type 'blinking stupid' or 'freaking nuts' or something similar, I am actually thinking something MUCH, MUCH stronger, but as a good, well behaved mod I have to watch my language! )

I don't think the beetles in her hair would bother her too much! The beating with a stick might, though!

Another GRRRRR, I broke my beating stick today (no, not on Anti-Foodie!), so now I have to go out and find another one.
 
I know I have another half of my history course to learn for my exam tomorrow, but for some reason I've spent the 10 minutes since I've known that reading about active protection systems on tanks. Damn my brain's crappy attention span.
Still, maybe reactive armour will come up in a question about Edward the... I don't even know which number he was...
 
grrr making too much noise when i train in this apartment and not knowing if the neighbours hear. that said, i've never heard a noise from anywhere else in the building...
 
...because you don't really want to learn that subject, so you're struggling to even concentrate on it. I blame the school systems where people have to take a broad range of subjects even when they want to go into just one. So long as people have the basic tools to go out and survive in society why make them do a whole list of irrelevant subjects? Sorry you're going through that...
 
...which reminds me of a very belated grrr.

MASSIVE GRRRRRRRRRRR towards the teacher in my last year of high school that tried to make us acquire "professional practice" (the name of her subject) by making us make and sell fruit marmalade. what a fearsome IT-specialized baccalaureate we were, selling jars of jam instead of programming...
 
and i just remembered MORE!. while we did the marmalade ourselfves with fresh fruit (which was annoying as hell, but an interesting skill nevertheless), she always insisted to us about the value of lying in a business environment, and made us do another product (dulce de leche with pieces of chocolate), buying both of the ingredients, and wanted us to lie to people and say it was completely hand-made.

effing corporate sociopaths...
 
So that people become fully rounded individuals with a knowledge of the culture they come from and live in and others, the whos, whys, whens and whats of language, history, science, geography and the arts rather than ill-educated "experts" with no understanding of anything outside their chosen field?

I would dob her in when you get back to base for not doing her job, seriously (but then I've witnessed and felt the effects of a bit of back stabbing, not exactly uncommon in most office environments). It sounds like you're doing most of the work (as well as nanny, life coach, etc), I'm sure lots of people would be itching to do her job. I know this doesn't help with whatever confidence issues she's got but, well,
