Things that make you go :-)) take two!

If you have a complex prescription, my recommendation would be to go to a good independent optician (or a small chain). VisionExpress once told my sister that nobody made contact lenses in her prescription - at the same time I had been wearing lenses with a much worse and more complex prescription for many years, but I got them from a small, local place.

For the record, most of the people I know who work in ophthalmology wouldn't touch the larger chains with a barge pole for their glasses/contacts.

Yep, that's pretty sad! Go you!

I went to VissionExpress once. It was for the sake of getting an appointment at 5:30 that I could actually get to. I'd never go back.

Had a great Sunday.
First part of the day was a 7 mile cross country walk from York to Elvington.
Great weather. Stopped for lunch by the side of a little stream.
Then a nice little nap in the afternoon when I got home.
After that I cooked a slap-up Sunday roast, with all the trimmings, for everyone. Beef in onion and red wine gravy. Yorky puds. Perfect roasties. Yum.
Finished the day by watching the footy (which could have gone better), with my daughter asleep with me on the settee.
And then watched "Attack the Block" before drifting into a good sleep for the night.
Only slightly marred today by a strain behind my right knee that's making walking tricky.
But then you can't have everything.
