So, it's a 93 Suzuki Katana 600 for $700. Sounds great, possibly fantastic, right? But then comes the list of things wrong with it...
1)Needs a tune up
2)Right mirror is missing
3)Second gear is broken
4)Some scratches and cracks in the plastic

So, worth 700? Probably not, can anyone give me an average total of how much these things would cost to fix? Much appreciated, thanks!

not worth it.just to fix the 2nd gear problem either the forks need replacing or you have a bad shift drum or both.that's a easy $300 to fix there.plastic that are broke could be another $300 or more depending on what is broke.suzuki does not make the katana any more.the 600cc were slow and heavy bikes.look for something better.

Everything except the tranny fix is doable, unless you do it yourself (even so, parts will be about $200---400usd) it will be very expensive. You have to ask yourself, will I be satisfied driving around with a bad transmission? Personally, I would save up a bit more money and find a bike that needs less work.
