[SIZE=-1]Pill splitting* (usually just in half) is an increasingly common practice and can be a powerful way to save money, especially if you have to take a prescription drug for a long time. But don't do it without first checking with your doctor since not all pills can be safely split. If your doctor says it's OK, use a low-cost device (around $5?$10) designed for the purpose, and not with a knife, for safety and to make sure that the two halves contain equal doses.
