I am trying to find a book I read, a group that had been funded by a capitalist emerge from underground. They have a peaceful life and society is various hunters/leaders/farmers. One of the main characters is real good with pistols and always takes head shots. It is semi militant - When they begin exploring further abroad they find a group at first they call trolls - later it is found they are men dressed in black bear skins. This group of trolls sought out women, their leader/founder had scribbled this on paper (I think he was a mental patient or criminally insane) "we need women"
