your walking down the street? and you have 5 dollars in your pocket and a homeless person asks you for a dollar do you give it to them or do you ignore them and keep moving?

well what i am going to say might make you surprised and puzzeled but here is what i have and there is a reasin behind it ask the reason in the ramadan section they will tell you.

if that person is in front of a mosque or in a 4 way then i will never give him even a penny out of my pocket at least in Pakistan i wont.
but if he is not in these 2 places i will not hesitate to give him the 5 dollars.after all he needs them more than i do.

I will give them if God wills, once in my country, I wanted to take a bus to go my mom house and I had only my bus card and $2 in my pocket. And this non Muslim woman told me she has not enough money to go back, I told her I didnt have much money too, but I gave her that $1, becos, I remembered our Prophet, pbuh, never turned down anyone who ask for help.

I don't think that a dollar would do it for that homeless person, but off course I would help that homeless person out, that is the teaching of Muhammad Wa Aale Muhammad.

it depends on the whole situation. in my country people are really poor and our government does not provide any services or at least not enough services for the poor, so if the person is really old or really disabled or really looks miserable then yes I would give the person some money.
It's always good to have some sense who you are giving the money to.

Personally, I think that all good followers of those faith would give them the money. In fact, even an atheist would.

It's not only religion that plays a part in charity, it's human compassion. Religion just makes it better.
