To Text a cell phone with nine numbers(From USA to France?)?

My friend lives in France and his # has nine numbers.I know USA has 10, and i have no clue how to text his!Thankyou for help

Let's say his French cell number is 06 12 34 56 78
To text him, you'll do the following.

- Add the international code (011) to the start of the number

- Next, add the country code (33)

- Finally, drop the '0' from the '06' cell phone prefix

So you would enter, in the phone number line in your cell phone -

011 33 6 12 34 56 78

Similarly, the cell phone number 6 44 55 77 88 would become -

011 33 6 44 55 77 88 =)

He probably gave you his number without the 0 at the front.

Numbers in France have ten digits but the first one (0) is only from France to France and needs to be taken out when being called from abroad.

So you need to dial +33 (country code)
then the tel number without the 0
