Torrent downloading effecting PS3 internet connection?

PS3 is wired and torrent computer connected wireless. Am getting a horrible connection as of late. Is it because of this computer downloading various things?
 
of course mate. torrent downloading takes over the entire speed of the network. nothing internet based is supposed to even work , while any torent soft is downloading unless you limit it's download speed.
 
i dont know really but later it gets the worse my internet on my ps3 gets , i would guess because the later it is the more people are using the internet? sorry if that completly didnt answer you question!
