battery status.? Symptoms:
Device will lose power completely and immediately when AC adapter is removed from PC regardless of fully charged and correctly installed batteries.
Diagnostics so far:
Tried different batteries, no difference.
Tried changing power profiles within bios, no difference.
Tried changing power profiles within windows, no difference.
Windows XP Home sees the battery, recognizes, charges, and correctly reports is serial number and model.
Im stumped! The AC adapter works fine and is within specified power parameters. The laptop works perfectly and appears to have no defects.
Ideas?

Is this a common issue? I am failry handy with fine soldering, do you the part number and component number of the relay?
I need to repair this for a client.
