As I've stated before in one of my questions, I am 17 years old, 160lbs, and 5'10. I have no real experience with motorcycles/dirtbikes, and the only experience I do have is with a 50cc scooter which I can TOTALLY handle, but its extremely slow. I recently pulled out my old 1984 honda xr350 and tried riding it today, and despite the heavyness and height of the bike, I think I can learn on it and handle it. I've tried to buy a car in the past, but due to money issues I thought an enduro would be more practical for someone like me, for many reasons (gas, I can ride it on my own immediately with a motorcycle permit). I talked to my parents the other day about it and my mom says bikes are extremely dangerous and I doubt she will allow me to ride an enduro on the street (I'm going to buy a dual sport kit and put it on my dirt bike). I think if I proved to her I can ride well, she MIGHT let me ride on the street, but I still doubt it. Should I just ditch this idea and wait a LONG time to get a car, or start practicing now on the dirt bike and eventually street legalize it? I'm really unsure of what to do D:
