Hello everyone- I booked a flight to Thailand back in December but bought insurance last month for the trip (via the same company I bought the flight from) because I couldn't afford it at the time I bought the ticket. It is now February and I'm having some health issues that may not be resolved before we depart in March. Question- will my travel insurance cover a flight cancellation if I need to make one since I bought it a month later? I could get a physician's note saying the illness started after I bought the flight & insurance. Also, my travel companion has not purchased travel insurance, if he purchased it now would it still apply for a flight cancellation in a couple weeks if we need to do it? I hope it isn't the case but better safe than sorry.
