I was recently in a short film, and the director mailed me a burned copy of the movie. I'm trying to play it, but cannot seem to get it to work in my TV or laptop. My TV is older, so I figured it wouldn't play a burned dvd, but my laptop is only about 2 years old, so it should work but it isn't. I have a Toshiba laptop, running on Windows Vista. When I put the dvd into my computer, the Windows DVD player said the disc could no be played. So I opened up the folder on the disc, and there were no video files on it... only files called EVO, IFU, and BUP. I don't recognize those types of files, and I really want to figure out how to play this disc! Please help! Is there a conversion file I can download? The guy who sent it to me said it was an HD disc, so will it play only on an HDTV? On the actual disc itself, it says "DVD-R, 1-16x speed, 4.7 GB."
Thanks!
