trying to hook up RCA home theatre speakers to my tv?

It came with a blue ray player I hooked up the speaker wires according to the color codes One speaker works but not the sub-woofer or the other 7 speakers. I don't understand the directions about using the remote to program the speakers, i am new to this technology. can someone please talk me through it Thanks
 
These all in one units are designed to work with your Bluray Movies or DVD's only. The speaker system is not going to play your TV programs. For this aspect you are required to have a receiver for the TV this is one of the reasons HTIB"s home theatre in box are not that great. Seperate components cost a bit more but can do WAY MORE!. If you have a newer TV just plug the HDMI cable from the unit to the TV and all should be good.
