My OS is Linux at the moment (PCU was originally xp, then upgraded to vista, then windows 7 and then linux, completely took windows off when installing linux)...i want to go back to my windows 7 because of school (i need windows for the programs). i have windows 7 on a disk. however when i select install it tells me:

"Windows Setup cannot find a location to store temporary installation files. To install Windows, make sure that a partition on your boot disk has at least 683 megabytes (MB) of free space. Error code: 0x80070490"

I recently asked a question about this and someone said to restart with disk in, and go to boot menu and go to the disk and click custom install. but when i click to boot from CD-Rom, it just starts the computer like normal. I have an HP Pavilion a1209n. Any information will be appreciated. I am NOT computer savvy AT ALL so as much detail as possible please. thank you
