Unlocked Motorola W510 keypad not working...?

I just bought a W510 cell phone (Motorola) off ebay.
It is unlocked, but a T-mobile phone. Conveniently enough that is my service, not that it matters because it is unlocked.

Well the phone worked great at first. Then the next day (today) the keypad suddenly stopped working.

It doesn't work at all. If you tap it, or hit it slightly it works for one button then fails again.

The only thing I did to the phone was:
Put my SIM card in it (took it out, same problem)
Changed MMS settings
Put some pictures on it

Does anyone know what is wrong? Is it because it is unlocked? If I could put the original T-Mobile firmware on it, would that fix it?

Does anyone know any fixes?

I'm thinking that your phone is freezing, this could be for various reason, it doesn't have to be because of the firmware or because is unlocked. Try this, when it stop working just take out the battery and insert it back again real quick. The keypad should work now. See those phones aren't the best, that is a common problem in those phones.
