Updating a Blue Ray player?

I bought a Insignia Blue Ray player from Best Buy about a year ago. It works great accept when I tried to play Valkyrie last night it would keep going to the main screen to hit play and would not play the movie.

I think Best Buy said something about updating? Is this true? Is is something I can do on my own?

You can likely update yourself. It might be as simply as connecting it to your home network and going into a setup menu to request an update fro the internet, or downloading a file an copying it to a CD-R or USB drive and inserting that into the player.
