Verizon Motorola Droid Billing Question?

I am considering buying a droid but I have a few questions:
1. Are there any extra fees in addition to the $30/month data plan?
2. Are there any caps on the $30/month data plan
3. If I lose my phone can I turn off the data plan and just use a basic phone, till my contract expires?
 
1. No the 30 dollars includes everything.
2. Nope.
3. Yes, i use to have the Storm but it broke so my friend gave me his old razor and i was able to change my phone and plan over the internet in about 5 minutes.
