VGA Cable help + Xbox 360 Help?!?

Ok so here's the deal. I use my 32" LCD TV as a Monitor for my laptop via VGA Cables. That works well, but I ran into an issue. I recently bought a Xbox 360 VGA Cable to reduce lag on Xbox Live. How could I get these to work simultaneously? The only issue I have is that I can't switch around the Xbox 360 VGA Cable because it will be the only thing that reduces lag for me. Is there a way I could make the LCD TV my moniter without VGA cables. I only have one slot for VGA. HELP!
Which has better quality?
