Hey, im 19 yrs old. Im in my first year of college. I love workng out and have been weghtlifting since 9th grade. I weigh about 175lbs. Im only about 5' 9". I look fairly small. But im all muscle. I used to weight 150lbs. I went on a intense workout routine of my own. And put on about 25 lbs of all muscle. I love fighting and practice boxing and did a little tkd as well. I also have been in a few real fights myself :p i just love fightng.

Since im about 175lbs. And, im the best condition i have been in. Any advice for mma fighting? I heard i should practice ground game. But im a pound kinda guy anyways.

First of all, scout out some local gyms near you. Since we dont know where you live, we cant source any gyms near you so you hav e to check them out yourself.

If you're in the UK or the US, it shouldn't be hard finding an MMA gym. You dont have to take up different systems to be good at it but if you have experience in martial arts it will help.

MMA gyms have different classes and training groups for Boxing, Kick Boxing and Ground work and working the Cage.

Go to any MMA Gym and try your luck. If they're anything like the gyms i go to, it should cost about $17-$20 for a weeks training.

I would recommend starting a Boxing, Muay Thai, Kickboxing or even Karate. Train in this art for a few years.

At that stage you can go to an MMA class. Your previous striking experience would be transferable to MMA. The MMA class will teach you takedowns and grappling as well as some extra striking stuff.

Best of luck.

I want to be an MMA fighter too.I'm 16 years old 5"11 175 pounds.
My advice is to Start Tiger Schulman's MMA Club.
