Was The Land Of The Dead Story Line After The Dawn Of The Dead Story Line?

Like does land of the dead take place after the events of dawn of the dead or is it just a completle different story line??
 
i think it was more of an updated version of dawn of the dead. i liked dawn of the dead better than land of the dead.
 
It is different. The Dawn of the Dead has nothing to do with it, the zombies in the remake were running after people and all that. The Land of the Dead is after The Night of the Living Dead. If you watch Land, then the beginning it says, "Some time ago..." and you see older type radio and tv waves and such. It is a bit too far in time, if you ask me.
