Being a crane operator and using different lubes for every application I've come to the conclusion that stuff is crap and evaporates or wears off too fast. If you want to break something app art (rusty) use PB Blaster. If you want to lube something and have it last, door hinge or cable, chain use Napa chain and cable lube, it runs in and solidifies into a thin grease. For applications where you don't want to have dirt sticking to whatever it is I use Caterpillar or Napa graphite spray-wet, or dry, depending on application. For stuff that needs a spray grease, AmsOil makes a killer spray grease. Don't get me wrong WD is ok for household stuff when there's nothing else, but if you want it to last use something made to do what you're doing.
