I take it you're in Great Britain, right? I don't think you run as much risks over there as you are in the U.S., and I'm exclusively referring, in case you are a teenager, of been abducted or something. Unfortunately crime is rampant in the U.S. right now and in some cities the police commanders are complaining directly to the city commissioners because their chief of police and other superiors are demanding that they "water down" the crimes: if rape is committed, they should write attempted rape on their report. If attempted murder, they should write assault. If assault with weapon, to write down robbery. They started this practice in Miami Florida about four years ago by means of another chief of police, but the policy seems very much in place and not only is it illegal but it is endangering the lives of the two million who live in the county.

My advice to you is to keep away from alleys, dark places, and always go out in pairs; never, ever alone. Never mind the authorities. Even if the law is not the very best anywhere nowadays, at least you know you're safe. What can happen, that they accuse you of buying cigarettes if you're a minor? Or that they think you're up to no good? They have to prove it all first and there's always a process.

My advice is to stay clean, steer away from all trouble, and always go out in pairs. Believe me there's worse things out there than jail or prison itself! People are oblivious to the amount of maniacs out there!
