What are some good things about handheld shower heads?

So...I want one. They look nice and I was at the store yesterday and am planning to get one. What are some good things about them. Obviously they're good for washing, but what else? Like, for example, you could wash your pet and ect...

What are the pros and cons and what else can they be used for? I want to only get one if it's really worth it. :)

They are good for rinsing your shower walls when cleaning. also for washing those hard to reach body parts like if someone is overweight ,they could really benefit from this.
 
They are good if you are a woman and you are lonely at night...REAL LONELY...haha
