What are those long cone shaped things on the back of semi trucks? i've seen twice...

...already on the freeway..? it's like a long silver cone shaped thing that i've seen two semi trucks carrying. i'm so curious as to what they are.
 
It must be a section of a wind turbine the upright normally come in 3 or 4 sections depending on size of turbine
 
You are probably seeing windmill towers in transit. I have seen them here in the US and in Europe as wind energy becomes more popular. Since you don't have a picture, this would be an educated guess.
