What famous people have died in airplane crashes?

I finished watching Sweet Dreams about Patsy Cline. I was wondering how many stars died in airplane crashes. I know Buddy Holly and Richie Valenz died that way. I think the group Lynrd Skynrd also. Are there more?

Wrong. DJ A.M. died of drug overdose. However, DJ AM and Travis Barker WERE in a major plane crashed, but both survived. I'm a big DJ A.M. fan. [RIP]

I don't know really any celebs that have died IN an airplane crash, but supposively Billy Mays got a concussion in one, and died after, but not in a crash or anything..

Supposedly Billy Mayes was killed by injuries sustained from his plane crash. But I know that's a lie, the Sham Wow guy killed him.

Not all of Skynrd died in the crash. John Denver also died in a crash and then there's Amelia Earhart....or did she?
