What is all needed to have a good audio system for your car?

Correct me if i'm wrong please... but is all you need for a good audio system (In my car) a:
Head unit, new speakers, a sub (or a couple, whatever), and an amp to power it all? And could you tell me good name brands?

yeah, what you have there is fine, and the best company i think is Bose. it sounds amazing in ur car, i think they sell kits where they have a new stero and speakers and stuff all in a kit. go to http://www.crutchfield.com/ the have so much stuff to choose from

lol this is a wide question. yea but if you get a head unit, upgrade your door speakers, and get some subs put them in a good box, get a good amp to power those subs and you should have a nice system. As a beginner go with a pioneer head unit, kicker door speakers and kicker subs and amps. you can upgrade as you go.
