What is an effective 2500 meter swimming workout for overall fitness?

I started swimming daily 2 months ago. At first, I had a very hard time doing 500 meters/day but am now up to 2500 meters/day, 1600 of which I did continuous today without rest. I'm swimming both to improve cardio and for weight loss. I've been doing a random mix of crawl and breast stroke. However, I'm getting bored with it and am looking for a more structured workout from someone who is either a swim coach or an experienced swimmer.
 
A set that really helps your underwaters and make your abs really strong is a set of 20 25s on 40 seconds with 2 breaths per 25 but if you want to challenge yourself you can try doing it in 1. Also try switching up your stroke and do some new ones. I personally love butterfly it is very rythmatic and challenging but it is also very fun. Another thing you can do is swim with a friend it motivates you to push yourself harder and you can race.
