the best workout should be slit between thre days plus an extaday for cardio if wanted. You shoul aim towork muscle groups that work together to get a great workout. Strt with machines and then gradually start to develop into free weights.

Day 1. Chest and triceps (bench press, flyes, dips, tricep pulldowns)
Day 2. Back and biceps ( wide grip pullups, barbell curls, preacher curls, screw curls, hammer curls)
Day 3. Shoulders and legs ( shoulder raises, legpress, leg extensions e.t.c)

allow 10 minutes for warmup and cardio

Do your favourite excercise on all three days
 
...minimal amount of time? I have recently lost 40 pounds and I want to set up an exercise routine that will give me a great looking body by summertime. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Is there a particular muscle group that you should work out together? I have heard things like back and arms, chest and legs... etc. Any suggestions?
 
full body workouts.. training each muscle in the workout with one exercise per each muscle at 3 sets each exercise

then do your cardio training
