I'm a Christian girl because I have been influenced by my family although I was never a big fan of religion to begin with. I went through water baptism because I didn't want my mother to be let down because I'm her favorite daughter. I was formerly an atheist before I got baptized.
Now, I have a boyfriend who's an ATHEIST and they disapprove of him even though he's very successful and sweet. We both agreed on not talking about religion because it would just give us headaches.
They bombed me with scriptures about Christians not yoking with people who don't believe in Christ or don't have the same practices. It sucks! They're just pushing me away instead of pulling me closer. It's like they don't trust me when it comes to decisions. Believe me, if I wasn't careful then I would have a kid by now.
Amanda S: I'm 21 and my boyfriend is 30. We're both in the medical field and really love helping people. I love my mom and stepdad and I'm not rebellious. I am being a good daughter they could ever have. I do the things they want. But the only thing that they disapprove of is my boyfriend being an atheist. And it's driving me crazy because I now have a chance to be happy and they're ruining it!
Sirena, I don't have doubts about my faith. It's them who have doubts about me! I was perfectly happy, talking to God every once in a while and telling him how perfect everything is and then came my parents barging in with scriptures about NOT YOKING WITH NON BELIEVERS.
