...with androids? What is the name and author of the Sci Fi short story where humans are at war with sentient androids who make themselves look like certain varieties of humans? It's something like "Third Kind" or "Fourth Kind," and the story consists of a small group of resistance fighters trying to figure out which of them is the android.
 
I thought you might be talking about Jack Williamson's The Humanoid Touch, but now I realize that you are not. You might like it, though, and there's another book that comes before it.
