What is the name of this old horror or sci-fi movie about a half man half ant?

I remember watching this old black and white movie about this man who's body had turned into a giant ant. His hands and face were like an ants. I just remember this scene where the ant guy is in this lab with a scientist and a woman, and he kills the scientist and the lady runs over to the phone, but the ant starts coming at her and says "Stay away from that phone Carol!" That's the only thing I can remember about it. Please help me.
