What is the safest version of Limewire to use?

Yeah, I know it's illegal. Get off my back and try to be helpful, please? I just want to not crash my computer. My sister did once before, and it's a bitch to get it fixed.
 
There isn't a safe verison, it is a rogue program. That being said there are measures you can take, such as AV programs like Avast4Home that are free and will scan the files as they download. If you need anymore help feel free to private message me!
 
Its not Limewire that crashed your pc, its the network that limewire uses.
 
don't use it, it sucks. Any Version will get you viruses, spyware, addware, and all that junk.
 
well actually it's not at all illegal it's what you download thats illegal. If it was limewire that crashed i would recommend version 4.whatever which you can download from www.oldversion.com. But if it was your computer that crashed mabey a virus? when your downloading stick to safe file types like .mp3 and NEVER EVER open somthing like a .exe file or .msi which are almost 100% garenteed to be infected with malicious software of somesort.
 
limewire is going to give you a virus some way or another, might as well get a torrent downloader, they are much faster and can be anonymous.
