what makes a green bar appear on burnt dvd's?

ok. so i edited this video clip with windows movie maker. looks great. when i burnt ths movie to a dvd, there's a BIG problem. all the title frames turned out fine, but when it plays the actual video clip, the video is pushed to the top half of the screen, and the bottom part is green. ive changed settings, and still the same problem. please help. I used windows movie maker, windows DVD maker, and memorex DVD+R.
