About every 20 sec. or so, I hear a tick-tick-tick-tick-tick noise coming from the speakers. After lookin into it, I thought maybe the hard drive, as some suggested with similiar problems. but it's coming through the speakerts. When I have headphones, it comes through those then. WHen I load up pages on the web, then it makes a static russling noise, but otherwisee, when idle, it clicks. lol. it sounds like a chipmunk is stuck in my laptop, anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated.

thats not a good sign, that my friend is the click of death, look it up on wikipedia if you want to know more, its time for a new hard drive or computer. I would bring it to a computer repair center for them to take a look at it.

I'd mute the computer and see if you still here to to be sure that its not the hard drive.

If it is the speakers, there's probably a bad wire somewhere connecting them. The connection going in and out over the bad wire might cause a clicking noise. That's my best guess anyway.
