I just got a new laptop with windows 7, and a free 6 month trial of kapersky(not 100% sure if the spelling) anti virus, I know I will have to buy anti virus software when this runs outs and I plan on buying the same anti virus. I was told windows 7 comes with firewall built in and that I wouldn't need anything else for firewall,spyware or malware. Is this true? If not what would I need, I would prefer it to he free. Sorry if this is long, I just want to make sure I know what I need to get/do before I set it up.

u can use free edition of antivirus like Avast Home edition, AVG, Avira etc.
Most antivirus takes care of virus, spywares. Just go read up on ur own.
for firewall, personally i wont trust windows firewall. so if u r nt behind a router, u can use firewalls like pc tools firewall pro.
