Hi there, I thought I would ask this because recently I have been getting conflicting opinions on what size horse I should be riding.
I'm basically 5'11" (really 5'10 and 3/4 inch) and weigh about 163 pounds. I have pretty long legs.
For my height I am lean and muscular.
I've always thought I should ride a horse no less than 15.3hh but an experienced horse person said that someone 5'11" would do best on a horse that's 14.3hh-15.3hh.
I'm interested in breeds such as the Andalusian, Lusitano, Friesian and draft breeds.
I guess size doesn't really matter as long as the horse can support me, but what do you think?
Does anyone who is my height have a photo of them beside/riding a 14.3hh horse?
