What's a good home theater projector?

I move about every year for work, and a projector would be easier to move than a t.v.

I have seen good ones, but also have seen ones with very poor resolution.

How much do I need to spend to get one with equal resolution to a standard television? I also want it to be able to easily connect to a dvd player and a cable line.

What brands are best and last the longest? Can you make a recommendation?
 
The problem with projectors is they all last the same time, making you replace the bulb equally. To get a nice or pretty decent one though, it should cost around $1,000.00 to $1,500.00. Good luck!
