I am working on this story about animals living on a planet called Orion. This supporting character (Cortex Stride), has been taken in by the forces of darkness and transformed into a beast called Kalcifer. However, his past remains a mystery and I was thinking of his mother abandoning him. The question is, does the story sound too deep and if so, what would be a good story about him before he becomes evil?
